i read many comments on this board about the similarities the wt has with the catholic church.

how come the catholic church and not other?.

would satan mimic a church which wouldn't be the one christ found and die for?.

I am glad I was not at people's doors when I have been in leadership roles on the Catholic Church... that is one of the many facts of missinformation: stating that women are not in leadership roles... I couldn't keep up with what the Church offer us women as places in leadership within the Church. To much! Also, the hostile enviroment you mentioned the WT creates, is part of their plan to set you apart and blind. Never the less, love prevails, eh? So I'm glad I'm part of this wonderful forum full of people who makes a difference and prefer to love... this thread proves it. Who in the world would fell OK to post a thread on a forum that is basically for ex-JW? I was a little hesitant to do it, but I trusted we have mature people here who can handle it. Love to hear from you and nice to meet you.

I was not expecting a respond. So I thank you. What they see is what they don't see. Remember they hide their fate ahead: their journey is yet to be fulfil with lie after lie. Catholics are kind of insecure and they don't have the stamina to look into their own Church... we are lazy sometimes. I'm speaking about hispanics. They tend to have many trials unresolved... and they like to get help without having to work hard to solved them: "feed me and I will go back to the study or the KH". Then they fall in the trap. I'm not putting them down; I'm hispanic (Costa Rica). I'm saying this because it is cultural. Most of the hispanic women are abused by their husbands to a certain degree weather they admit it or not. They want to find answers. Also, the Church has failed them according to them and that is the truth for some. There are so many Catholics on each Parish; how could you keep up and please everyone? Can I be a reporter?

i realize that actual credentials and education in the field of journalism is a must for this endeavor, but i'd like to go to the kh when a special speaker/announcement is to be made, so that i can report on what's said/written.. sure, i could go incognito as a dub/interested one, but what if i had some sort of press badge for an on-line magazine, one closely related to this forum?

Thanks for sharing; your post has impacted me a great deal.... Especially about your dear mother. She loves her God and you and your siblings know it... I can sense it by her ability to keep you close to her, regardless of her commitment to the org... indeed, she has chosen the better part. She must be very strong. Morrison, be glad to be her kid.

About this thread's topic, I would like to share that I did impacted my daughter, bluesapphire, when we used to talk back and forth about our differences in doctrines. She was on her half way out of the JWs. She came to visit me one night and all of a sudden I asked her: "why don't you start your own church?"... she left mad at me.... BUT THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF HER TURNING BACK TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. She can share more as it is her 'thing'... She told me just recently that was her 'turning point'... hopefully, she will join in this thread and say it with her own words...

Now, I'm not saying that I'm the one responsible for that outcome. I'm just want to make a point and validate that many times, we could throw a piece of our mind and BINGO! I respect Morrisan's position about leaving her mom alone... who knows? by been close to her, she has been exposed enough to see 'wordily' people been as nice even to offer her a ride to the KH... that is AGAPE LOVE.
